4th St: Chess Club

Fun is the name of the game......but Silver Knights Chess Academy also sneaks in a bit of critical thinking, sportsmanship, and patience into chess club! Each week students of all levels do a fun but challenging lesson with one of our great coaches from our world class curriculum followed by practice games against other students in the class. Join the 100,000 (and counting!) kids who've learned chess with us!

Program goals and objectives:

This club is designed for students who are new to chess and for expirenced players focused on building their foundational skills.Players will review key fundamentals briefly while being introduced to new, more challenging material that helps bridge the gap between beginner and intermediate play. Each session introduces critical concepts while reinforcing prior lessons. The curriculum is progressive, building on what students learned in the previous sessions and introducing new tactics, strategies, and game concepts each week. Lessons are paired with games so students can apply new skills right away.
